Pacific Street Blues Interview of Donal Gallagher
Just in time to celebrate Rory Gallagher’s 61st birthday, Radio personality, Rick Galusha, interviewed Rory Gallagher’s brother and manager, Donal Gallagher, on KIWR radio this past month. KIWR FM is an alternative radio station on the campus of Western Iowa C.C.. serving the metro Omaha, Nebraska area. In a weekly radio programme called, Pacific Street Blues, Rick plays a few Rory tunes and talks with Donal about Rory’s early childhood, his musical legacy, his possible future releases, and his tryout with the Rolling Stones after Mick Taylor’s departure from the band.
For the 20th Anniversary of my show I picked a few acts I personally wanted to speak to and then hunted them down; Donal was one of those along with Southside Johnny and Gary Moore. — Rick Galusha
