On October 14, BBC Radio 2 rebroadcast “The Rory Gallagher Story,” a documentary on the late, great, Irish guitar legend. This programme was originally presented on April 16, 2005 to mark the 10th anniversary of his passing. Hosted by celebrated guitarist, Gary Moore, the documentary includes rare recordings of Rory as well as remembrances from Donal Gallagher, Brian May, Johnny Marr, Martin Carthy, Jack Bruce, Ronnie Drew, and Georgie Fame. Randy Bachman, guitarist and songwriter for such legendary groups as the Guess Who and BTO, hosts a radio program on Canadian Radio One called, “Vinyl Tap”. Each week Randy does a music “theme” show and this weeks theme is “cars”. The first song Randy elected to play for his audience is Rory’s “Souped-Up Ford”. Randy talks a bit about Rory as well.
